General Counsel
Carolyn Blake oversees all of Brakey Energy’s legal matters, as well as matters related to Ohio’s energy efficiency mandates. She is an expert on negotiating and drafting electric generation, natural gas, and demand response agreements. Through her Of Counsel position at the law firm of Meyers, Roman, Friedberg & Lewis, Carolyn is able to represent Brakey Energy clients in disputes involving energy issues.
Carolyn joined Brakey Energy in 2012. Previously, Carolyn worked in the field of intellectual property: first as a patent examiner in Washington, DC, and then as a patent attorney at a Cleveland law firm.
Carolyn holds a J.D. from Case Western Reserve University School of Law and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Grove City College. She is admitted to practice in the State of Ohio, as well as before the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio.
