Energy Efficiency Audits
Professional Energy Audits to Identify Ways to Save & Conserve Energy
Energy audit standards are established by the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE). ASHRAE defines three levels of audits: Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3.
A Level 1 audit consists of interviews with operating personnel, a walk-through of the facility, and an analysis of recent energy consumption and cost data. This type of audit focuses on (1) establishing an energy consumption baseline; (2) recommending no-cost and/or low-cost energy reduction opportunities; and (3) identifying potential capital improvement projects to address more significant sources of inefficiency. Level 1 audits can be used to prioritize energy efficiency projects and to assess the need for more detailed (Level 2 and Level 3) audits.
Brakey Energy’s energy engineer and Certified Energy Manager® can provide clients with a Level 1 energy audit and accompanying report at no additional charge. Our staff will meet with you and walk through your facility to evaluate existing equipment and operations, including but not limited to your building envelope, lighting, motors, HVAC, compressed air, and process heating/cooling. The length of the audit will depend on the size and scale of your facility and operation.
The audit report will provide an analysis of your facility’s historical energy consumption and demand in addition to recommendations for energy conservation measures that your company can take to lower your usage, demand, and overall energy costs.
